With the introduction of the Curriculum for Excellence in Scottish schools, the Scottish Wars of Independence have become a key core subject for pupils who have chosen history as part of the personalisation process. Historic Battlefield Tours believe that history belongs in the field as much as it does in the classroom and that by walking and visiting the sites of key events, pupils can gain a better appreciation of the subject they are studying.

As a company one of our underlying aims is the investigation, promotion and preservation of Scottish battlefields and conflict sites, and an important part of ensuring that we meet this goal is the use of them as educational tools for all of our customers. We fully believe that the tours and services we are offering to schools will provide the pupils with an important and stimulating experience which will be of great benefit to them in their studies.
